• Crown and Bridge
  Crowns are used to replace weak, damaged or unsightly teeth. Sometimes called a cap, a crown is a tooth-like covering placed over a prepared existing tooth. This treatment is recommended if the patient has insufficient tooth structure on which to place a filling. It is also recommended for strengthening root canal treated teeth and protecting cracked or fractured teeth.
• Full Mouth Rejuvenation
  A full mouth rejuvenation is used to correct worn down dentition and heavily restored teeth to the original bite and a great appearance.
• Veneers
  Veneers are ultra-thin, custom-made laminates that are affixed directly onto the teeth. They are a great option for changing the colour, shape, size and position of teeth in only two visits. They are very natural looking tooth-coloured material that realistically simulates pristine enamel without the tell tale black line of old fashioned crowns.
• Amalgam replacement
  Previously teeth were restored with ugly, grey amalgam fillings. When these fillings need replacing due to fracture or decay, we replace them with natural looking white fillings. Some people choose to have all their amalgam fillings replaced and we can work out a plan to carry out this treatment.

  Our dentists would rarely if ever use anything other than a white coloured filling. Developments in modern dentistry means more natural looking, strong fillings.
• Inlays and Onlay
  These are a stronger way of repairing teeth to avoid food packs and restore bites. They are made of a strong, natural looking tooth coloured material.
• Root Canal Treatment
  Root Canal Treatment or endodontic treatment, is used to save a tooth that has been badly damaged from decay, disease or injury. Problems with biting, chewing and oral health are associated with losing a tooth. It is important to try to keep teeth to avoid bigger more expensive problems.
• Tooth Extraction
  Our experienced team of dentists all perform teeth extractions where necessary. If wisdom teeth are going to be difficult to extract you can chose to have the treatment carried out in hospital as a day patient under general anesthetic.
• Nitrous Oxide Gas
  If you are an anxious patient, the Smileplus dentists can adminster nitrous oxide gas to help relieve your anxiety during treatment and make you more relaxed in the dental chair.
• Sleep Dentistry
  Some patients have a dental phobia and if nitrous oxide gas is not an option for you, you can opt to have all your treatment done while you are asleep under a general anesthetic in day theatre. You wake up with no memory of the smells or sounds of your dental procedure.
• Sporting Mouthguards
  It is very important for young people to protect their teeth from injury while competing on the sporting field. A knock to the teeth when you are young can lead to a lifetime of dental problems. A mouthguard is an inexpensive and necessary way to protect your teeth.
